You are invited to attend the annual commemoration for the volunteers from the North East who gave their lives fighting in the International Brigades against fascism in Spain.  

The event will take place at 11.30 am this Sunday, 30 October, at the memorial plaque in the grounds of Newcastle Civic Centre, not far from the Great North Road.  

This commemoration is being organised by the Communist Party but is not intended to be a sectarian event, and will be open to all participants to say a few words.
