Sunderland: Lindsay Leonard will talk about The Struggle for a Better Britain 1900 – 1951

5 November 2022 @ 09:00 - 16:30

I am a Labour Party member in St Michaels Branch of the Sunderland Central CLP. The branch has organised a social history conference, The Struggle for a Better Britain 1900 -1951 on Saturday 5 November in Sunderland, with four academic historians as guest speakers, which will focus on the first half of the Twentieth Century. The programme details are attached.

The event is open to all and is intended as a way of raising some additional funds for the branch in readiness for the fight ahead. It is also meant as an engaging and educational event that will hopefully resonate with the current dire situation the country is in: by warning of the danger of history repeating itself but also show there is a ‘light at the end of the tunnel’ in a new Labour government.
